Stephania is currently the Sales Director for the Pensacola location servicing financial needs holistically through risk management and retirement strategies. Previously working in the financial services industry for over a decade, Stephania founded an economic recovery firm, Indever LLC, focused on economic development and sustainability initiatives during 2005, when she recognized the need in the community for her experience and education in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan. The highlight of her recovery efforts was to lead the effort of removing the Main Street Wastewater Treatment Plant from downtown Pensacola. Over a two-year period, Stephania successfully lead a team from both the public (local, state and federal agencies) and private sectors for both the removal and replacement of “Old Stinky” benefiting the Pensacola area forevermore. Her achievements with Indever LLC then lead her, by request, to the retail side of the financial services industry in 2011 with hopes to help other communities like Pensacola with fiscal policy in the areas of strategic financial preparation and grants management. Today, she focuses on holistic financial strategies and moved her focus to small business and retail individual clients as she noticed the need for her knowledge, experience and strategies at the smaller, individualized level.
Stephania is also an active part of her community, in such efforts as fundraising and board leadership. Currently, she is one of two lay members of a 7-member board- the State of Florida Board of Cosmetology. One of her most recent accomplishments was her service as a gubernatorial appointee as Trustee of Pensacola State College. In addition, she also presided as Chair of the YMCA Partners to Youth annual fundraising campaign in 2012; she and her team of over 100 faithful volunteers successfully exceeded their goal of approximately $200,000 for the year. These monies were able to positively affect hundreds of children and families (including the homeless) in the Pensacola area affording them the ability to participate in after care, sports and fitness programs for the development of a positive self-image, embodying the mission of the YMCA as a partner to the community.
Stephania has 2 children, Daniel and Ashley, currently attending Pensacola State College as a sophomore and freshman at Millsaps University in Jackson, MS. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi receiving a B.S.B.A. in Economics and International Business and a M.S. in Economic Development. Stephania has a passion for education stemming from her grandmother, Flossie Burge, and mother, Ann Stanley; they were both administrators and teachers in Mississippi together for over 100 years combined endowing many with education who would have been unable to read without their unfailing efforts. Proud of her heritage and family legacy in education, Stephania is a fifth generation Mississippian and third generation alumnus of the University of Southern Mississippi and is proud to include the Pensacola area and the State of Florida into her family.
